Information for Exhibitors
The festival brings together professionals, children, young people and citizens around one shared question:
How can technology help solve society’s biggest challenges?
As an exhibitor, you become part of an interactive expo where you will meet everyone from decision-makers and school classes to curious families.
Participation is free of charge – but we expect your stand to be active, engaging and to create real value for visitors.
The expo spreads across Dokk1’s open spaces and consists of stands, themed tours and hands-on activities.
This is not a traditional trade fair. Instead, we invite exhibitors to showcase technology in action – giving visitors the opportunity to try it out, explore it or engage in dialogue.
The exhibition is a central part of the festival and is visited by professionals, school students, citizens and families alike.
Thursday, August 27 – Schools Focus
Programmes for school classes with workshops and guided tours.
Do you work with education, children and young people, or learning technologies?
Friday, August 28 – Professionals
Talks, guided tours and expo with a focus on technology and digitalisation in the public sector.
Is your solution relevant for municipalities, regions, government agencies, healthcare, welfare or digital transformation?
Saturday, August 29 – Open to All
Saturday is open to everyone – children, young people and adults interested in technology in everyday life.
This is where fascination, play and curiosity take centre stage.
Does your solution appeal to a broad audience?
Can you communicate technology in an engaging or fun way? Then Saturday is the right day for you.
Days and participation
You choose which days you would like to exhibit. However, we strongly encourage participation on both Friday and Saturday to ensure a vibrant and varied exhibition experience across the weekend.
Not sure which days are the best fit? Feel free to contact us.
Price:
Participation as an exhibitor is free of charge.
Catering
We provide complimentary catering during your participation at the festival, including breakfast, lunch and afternoon coffee with something sweet.
When registering, please indicate your catering preferences. The number of participants can be adjusted closer to the festival, so you are welcome to provide an estimated number for now.
Stand size:
We offer four standard formats – from the smallest at 1 x 1.5 metres to the largest at 3 x 4 metres, as well as a limited number of custom sizes. You can indicate your preferences in the registration form.
Content:
Expect your stand to include some form of interaction, experience or dialogue with the audience.
Language:
The audience is diverse. Most exhibitors present in Danish, but English is also welcome.
Technical setup and electricity
Electricity is available at all stands. Please bring your own power strips and extension cords. We also recommend bringing a mobile router, as Dokk1’s network may be under heavy load during the festival.
Tables
We have different types of tables available. You can see the options and indicate your preferences in the registration form.
Fire and smoke
Open flames are not permitted, as they will trigger the fire alarm system. If your stand produces smoke, please note this in your registration so we can arrange for additional ventilation.
Sales
Direct sales from your stand are not permitted, as the festival is organised by the municipality. However, you are very welcome to refer visitors to your website or other platforms where purchases can be made afterwards.
Mounting on walls and floors
Dokk1 has very few walls, and neither walls nor columns may be used for mounting materials, as this can leave marks or cause damage. We therefore encourage you to think creatively and find alternative ways to present your content.
Please also note that tape on the floors is not permitted, as it may damage the surfaces. Any damage caused will be charged to the exhibitor.
4:00–6:30 PM
Friday concludes with an informal tech salon for exhibitors and professional participants.
We continue the day’s conversations in a relaxed setting, with thought-provoking technological features and the opportunity to meet new collaboration partners.
Participation is optional, but we hope many of you will choose to stay and be part of the community.
